Transcend can surface enterprise supplier development (ESD) opportunities within the black owned suppliers of our clients, by doing this we will build an enterprise development engagement process that provides an output of clear guidelines and principles to the entrepreneur on the weaknesses and gaps in their business, with a project plan on how to start to address these gaps.

As part of the exercise, the supporting evidence needed to secure ED program points on the Broad-Based BEE (B-BBEE) scorecard would be detailed.

The phased approach below indicates the approach to be adopted.

Phase I: Entrepreneur Engagement

Transcend begins the process by engaging with Black Owned ED (Enterprise Development) beneficiaries, to surface their business issues and needs. The result of this intervention should the identification of entrepreneurs who are committed to persevering and growing their businesses and are willing to be part of phase II.

Phase II: Enterprise Development Due Diligence

The intervention will involve the following;
Building a business case for the black owned suppliers through a process of engaging with the entrepreneurs to determine their entrepreneurial spirit, business needs, process needs and BEE credentials. The output from this phase will be a needs analysis, a project plan and other supporting evidence needed to ensure that this intervention will benefit under the ED program as defined in the B-BBBEE codes, as well as business insight for the entrepreneur.

Phase III: Development Programmes

Transcend appoints a business coach over a six month period to assist in the on-going sustainability and growth of the supplier.
